They Called them old and past there prime but despite injuries and age The Boston Celtics are back in the East Finals.

Paul Pierce 34 Ray Allen 36 Kevin Garnett 36 in fact The Boston Celtics have 6 players on there roster over the age of 30 and only 3 players under the age of 25 So to say the Celtics are old isnt really an insult. But to say they cant win anymore they take a statement like that very personal. And above all dont call KG a dirty player (see hawks owner Michael Gearon Jr). After dispatching The Hawks and 76ers  The C’s find themselves in the East Finals for the 3rd time in 5 yrs. This time they took the path less traveled they weren’t one of the top seeds. No one expected them to be here all eyes were on Miami and Chicago. But thats the thing about the NBA and sports in general ya jus never know whats gonna happen Wit injuries come upsets i.e. Philly over Chicago. Giving The Boston Celtics a favorable matchup in the second round.

But we gotta give credit where credit is due The Celtics are playin good basketball. Like we’ve seen so many times before in almost every sport teams peak at the right time. Jus Like thr Mavs last year The Giants in the NFL The Packers of 2010 none of these teams were top seeded but when the dust settled they were all crowned champions. Now its a little to Early to say the C’s have peaked and honestly they havent played there best ball yet. KG and Rondo are playin great Wit KG averaging 19.2 pts in these playoffs and Rondo Avg 15.2 pts and 12.3 assist. And Paul Pierce has been his normal self right around 19.3 pts per game  but Ray Allen has been struggling avg only 9.9 pts per game thats waaay down from his career avg of 20.0 per game. Nagging ankle injuries have hampered him all season. The Boston Celtics are gonna have to continue to get production from Brandon Bass and Mickael Pietrus as they have been very helpful in this playoff run.

So Weather or not The Boston Celtics can hoist the trophy again is yet to be known but win or lose they have shown that despite age, injuries,naysayers and doubters the Celtics are once again yelling loud enough for everyone to here”WE WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT”.  All those banners hangin in the rafters of  The TD Gardens Speaks to the legacy the Celtics are playin for and the reason why you cant count em out.
