In what has been a hectic first week of this 2011 NFL shortened off season/Free Agent Period. We have seen many big names move to new homes and I’ll try my best to keep you up to speed. Whew take a breath……Here We Go!!!!

Lets start wit the Quarterbacks. Kevin Kolb has finally got his wish and has been traded to the Arizona Cardinals for a 2nd round pick and one Dominique Rogers-Cromartie. So Fitzgerald now will hopefully have a QB that can get him the ball after a season where they jus flat out sucked at the QB position. Donovan Mcnabb will be lookin to put his awful 2010 season in the rearview as he got moved to Minnesota for a 6th rounder, and prove he is still an elite Passer in this league. Matt Hasselbeck said goodbye to his team of the past 10yrs for the Titans and a 3yr 21 million contract and mentor to 1st round draft pick Jake Locker. While Seattle is lookin in the direction of Tarvaris Jackson to replace the best QB in franchise history leavin Jackson and “Clipboard Jesus” Charlie Whitehurst to duke it out for the starting spot. The Titans and Browns both released QB’s, Vince Young in Tennessee, and Jake Delhomme in Cleveland. The Denver Broncos have yet to make a move on Kyle Orton but it looks like he’s headed to Miami.

Now the Market for Running Backs wasn’t great but there were moves made. DeAngelo Willams re signed with the Panthers, to keep the run game solid witch will take some pressure of rookie QB Cam Newton. Reggie Bush will be takin his talents to South Beach after not being able to come to a contract re-negotiations with the Saints he signed a 2yr 10 million deal for the fish. Now lies the question what will Miami do with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams? There’s still some great talent available for backfields that need it. Ahmad Bradshaw,and Cedric Benson are 2 of the best choices. The Cowboys also released Marion Barber so theres that too…..

At the Wide-Out Position there are alot of big names and there going fast. Santonio Holmes decided to stay with the J-E-T-S. Sidney Rice will re-join Tarvaris Jackson in Seattle as he signs a 5yr deal wit the Seahawks, if Rice can stay healthy he will be a STUD in Seattle and that recieving core jus got a sizeable upgrade. Lance Moore will still be cathing passes from Drew Brees as he decided to stay with the Saints. Chad Ochocinco has been traded to the New England Patriots for draft picks. And Steve Smith has re-signed with the Panthers giving some weapons for Cam Newton. Stll some good players out there in Plaxico and Randy Moss and will the Jets be able to keep Braylon Edwards? Still Plenty of News to come as this season is jus getting underway

On the Defensive side of the ball the big name is Nnamdi Asomugha will the Jets grab him and put him opposite Revis Island? What about Antonio Cromartie? But the big news on the defense is the acquisition of Albert Haynsworth by the Patriots. Its fun to watch the moves made by the Jets and Patriots as they try to one up each other!! alot more moves have been made too many to name but keep it locked for all the breakin News!!!
