With the addition of Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups  the Clippers have championship dreams.

For as long as I have been a NBA fan the Clippers have been a horrible basketball team livin in the shadow of a Dynasty. The Lakers have always been the  Big Brother, The Main Event they’ve always been “Showtime”. While the Clippers have been  LA’s red headed step child. Since 1970 The Clippers have made the playoffs 7 times. While the Lakers have only missed the Playoffs a total of 5 times in team history.

But this off season The Clippers picked up Star Point Guard Chris Paul and Champion Guard Chauncey Billups. Add them to a team that already had high flyer’s Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. Now people talk about the Clippers like there the team to beat in LA thus coining the phrase Lob City(although Paul and Griffin downplay the name). And in this Lockout shortened season The Clippers are expected to make the playoffs. But lets hold up on passin them the torch jus yet.

Now while on paper the Clippers do look to have a stacked team. And while early in the season they seem to be playin better ball the the Lakers. Yes it makes it even weirder that Chris Paul was supposed to go to the Lakers before he went to the Clippers(David Stern is a douche but thats an article for another day) I can not hand the city over to the Clippers yet. Now I do think the Clippers will make the playoffs. At the end of the season LA will still be a Laker town first but Lob City is on the rise literally be on the look out.
