This has been a Season for the history books for The Orlando Magic but not in a good way.
All Season the Orlando Magic fans have had to sit and listen to the media and everybody else talk about weather All-Star Dwight Howard will be traded. Even after the trade deadline passed and Dwight remained they still heard talks of off-season trades. So even after Dwight said he was going to play out his contract we still heard talk about trades. It was draining on me I cant imagine what the fans in Orlando were going thru. And of coarse it would effect the play on the court.
Now at first glance you look at the record of The Orlando Magic and you say there not that bad. Second place in a division where Miami is the team to beat League Wide . There gonna make the playoffs for a sixth straight season Dwight Howard is havin another great season avg 20.6 pts 14 boards. But the Magic as a team have been anything but consistent. They had a loss to New Orleans where they score only 67 pts they had 2 losses to Miami and Atlanta where they scored 79 pts and the loss to Chicago where they scored jus 59 pts. But they also hold wins over the Bulls, Heat, and Lakers. There far from an Elite team but have shown they can play wit the best teams in the league.
But a team under the kinda scrutiny like the Orlando Magic are under have two choices come together as a team or crumble under the pressure. And wit the news comin out that at seasons start Dwight Howard went to Management and asked that Stan Van Gundy be fired this teams fragile psyche might be about to break and thats the last thing you need before a playoff push. The Orlando Magic will only go as far as Dwight Howard takes them but even Superman cant save this team.
