After months of postponements injuries and rescheduling this huge rivalry is gonna happen at UFC 145 and its gonna be big!!!
Since Jon Jones defeated Shogun for the LHW title at UFC 128 he’s been on a tear. In fact even before that he started 2011 out by choking the life outta Ryan Bader. We know the story it was a career year for Jones as he stopped Rua with strikes(quite brutally I might add). Then he became the first man to submit Rampage Jackson in the UFC at UFC 135 for his first title defense. Then he choked out former champ Lyoto Machida (Jones likes to choke people) for his second defense. and became the first LHW Champ to defend the title successfully more then once since Chuck Lidell. He’s taken a division that was considered one of the deepest in UFC to a division thats lookin for challengers for the champ.
But at UFC 145 Jones faces another tough challenge and another former champ “Suga” Rashad Evans. But UFC 145 is more then jus a title shot for Evans. We all know the story behind Jones and Evans Jones stepped n for Evans when Evans got hurt prior to UFC 128 and Jones becomes champ. Evans leaves Jackson’s fight camp where he and Jones had trained together and the war of words ensued. Since his departure Evans started his own fight camp called “The Blackzillians” and fighters such as Bigfoot Silva, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, and Melvin Guillard all joined up. While Rashad himself has put together 4 straight wins since his KO loss to Machida also beatin 2 former champs in Rampage, and Tito Ortiz.
At UFC 145 the two former teamates finally face off after several scheduled matches between the two were postponed due to injuries on both sides. Jones has seemed almost unstoppable since entering the UFC. While Rashad has been almost as good suffering only one loss. While not as flashy as Jones Evans has fought and beat the best and he got Jones up next. Will Evans have the tools to beat Jones or will Jones make Evans the 4th straight former champ to fall? At UFC 145 we will get closure and really good fight!!!
