UFC 145Well UFC 145 is in the books and Another successful title defense for 205lb champ Jon Jones wit a decision victory over Rashad Evans.

At  UFC 145 Jones vs Evans was the time to settle the long lasting feud that had bubbled between the 2 fighters. And while it wasnt the greatest fight ever it was still a good fight. Rashad made a decent showin of himself in that he didnt get finished like the 3 previous former champs that Jones destroyed. However Evans was never really in this fight he landed a head kick early that stumbled Jones but could not capitalize, and he landed a solid right that backed Jon up but thats about it. In the 4th and 5th rd Evans did nothing and really got pieced up. but it was the 2nd round where Jones did the most damage landing some vicious elbows. Elbows that were thrown like hooks they were nasty!!!

Wit this victory at UFC 145 this makes 4 former champs that Jones has defeated. Shogun, Rampage, and Machida, and Jones finished all 3 of them. While he didn’t get the finish on Rashad he dominated and controlled Evans the entire fight. So who’s next for Jones? Dana made it clear that another former champ is next for Jones as Dan “Hendo” Henderson former Pride and Strikeforce champ will be Jones next opponent Will Jones be able to make it 5 former champs? As for Rashad he didnt get finished so its not impossible to see a rematch if Evans gets 2 or 3 quality wins this being only his second loss I’d love to see him fight Shogun. But who knows but we will see Rashad  fight for a title again.

In the under card Brendon Schaub got K.O. by Big Ben Rothwell at the 1:10 mark of rd 1. Making it his second straight knockout loss. And in the Co-Main Event Rory MacDonald beat the mess outta Che Mills. I mean I think Dana White said it best, After 1 rd Che looked like he went 5, he was beat up. Rory went on to finish the fight with strikes in the 2nd and is lookin like a real contender at the 170lb division. All in all UFC 145 was a good event with some good fights and a good way to kick off the summer fight season. Watch the Post Fight Presser for UFC 145 below!!!
